Incorporating original photographic images, this painting on natural linen canvas is created with layers of acrylic paint and makes use of the Image transfer technique.
‘Lost property’ is part of the Nowhere series, which comes from a fascination with places that have somehow lost their sense of identity through being redundant or obselete. They are in a moment of transition from one state to another, neither developed nor wild, or both.
The images that inspired this set are from a trip to a disused jetty at Thurstaston Beach which as a bonus comes with it’s very own boat wreck!
