Misdirection
Original painting medium: Acrylic, Oilbar, Toner on wooden panel.
Size: 60 x 70 cm
Unframed
This painting evolved over a long period of time. It grew from an innocuous image of a construction site into a multi-level laminated textural surface. A predominantly monochrome under-painting is over-laid with astringent urban colours, however there is an interesting depth to it.
The painting is process led, paint is applied with any implement except a paintbrush in a seemingly random and chaotic manner, however everything has been done in a deliberate order.
The final result is a circulating movement across the surface imid a cool, unsentimental composition.
This painting is sold unframed however hanging fixtures have been secured to the back so it is ready to hang.
